It creates a lasting record, capturing generated knowledge and resources.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>creates a platform for alternative voices by sharing projects from individuals to grassroots groups. It provides an alternative to the big corporation and capitalist, money-driven economy, placing importance on people and their ingenuity. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>links communities from around the world to one another, sharing peer-to-peer in an open conversation which values each individual\u2019s right to be named as the author of their work, with the intent that their ideas be shared and replicated. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>is equal; it doesn\u2019t recognise age, race, gender, wealth, &#8211; it can be both digital and physical and is solely there to promote and encourage active sharing and engagement in the wider open source community. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>provides a framework to artists\u2019 and facilitators\u2019 engagement with communities, circumnavigating the issues around \u201cUs and Them\u201d and creating an open space within which ideas are replicated, modified and shared. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>inspires confidence in sharing ideas with a wider community. This is supported with a deliberate, formal structure which states that an individual\u2019s voice and knowledge are worth sharing. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>adapts and is influenced by the needs of the people who use it. It is a framework, not a set in stone rule book.
